In general I think it’s delicious. However, I think the appetizer (we had sashimi) looked and tasted like it’s been cut and ready for too long that the fish was a bit dry on the edge.

The unagi was ok.

Ebi ramen was quite special since I haven’t seen much fish/shrimp based ramen and I personally enjoyed it. I can see the shrimp meat from the soup base and it has a very strong shrimp flavor. Aside from those, I do feel like the tuna was a bit smelly and the soup is a bit too salty.

Dessert was awesome!

This place was great! I came here with my boyfriend on a Monday night and the inside was super cool.

We started with both appetizers (the sashimi and the eel dish) which were AMAZING! The quality of the fish was unmatched. We also got a piece of uni each. I’ve recently traveled to Japan, and the quality of their uni at this restaurant was superior to many that I tried in Japan. It was INCREDIBLE.

My boyfriend got the eel and it was amazing. The sides were a bit strange and disappointing, but the main dish was the star. The eel was incredible, even their miso soup was flavorful.

I got the spicy tuna mazemen. Here’s where my problem was. Unfortunately, my noodles were basically raw. When you bit a noodle in half, you could still see the white hard interior. The noodles were inedible which was extremely disappointing. The tuna and spicy flavors were great though.

The dessert was AMAZING, it was a hojicha panna cotta (that was only 6$?!?! WOW) and blew us away. It was light and flavorful and perfectly sweet.

Great place for a ramen night! I went there with my friend on a weekday night. The restaurant has beautiful interior, modern Japanese style. The menu is short and sweet. We got the 5 sides gozai yakizakana set + uni and okonomi shoyu fish ramen. Both very well made and the uni is fresh! The panna cotta hojicha pudding is also super flavorful. Texture can be less watery but overall tastes nice’

We had an incredible experience at this pop up! Having been to the original location many years ago I was excited to try their food again in a bigger space. I love that breakfast and dinner options are available all day! We ordered an unagi bowl with five sides, the tuna confit mazeman and some sake. Everything was delicious! The unagi was perfect and we loved sampling the five sides. I'm a sucker for omelette. The tuna confit mazeman was outstanding. The noodles were thick and chewy, the toppings had great flavor and texture. We also enjoyed both sakes we tried and would definitely return to sample more dishes!

Great breakfast, lunch & brunch place to eat delicate and pretty Japanese bites. Ordered 5 pieces Japanese breakfast. Fish is the main dish. Three choices. I recommend Tai fish and swordfish.

Recommend trying all the add-ons. There are four of them. Pictures and caption added for the details of the food I ordered.

Good food, I always love a Japanese menu and serving style. The good, while interesting and authentic, didn't really wow me. The swordfish was rather dry.

The fish/chicken broth ramen was incredible & unique. I loved the slurp on these noodles and couldn’t stop myself from finishing the bowl.

The chewy Mazemen though tasty was a bit disappointing & smaller in portion.

Great atmosphere, though a bit hot inside.

Service was what you could expect from an excellent Japanese restaurant.

Overall a great experience.

I had a high hope when I saw the menu. Really wanted to have good unagi but even for this affordable price, the unagi was not satisfying at all and not worth it. The texture was gummy, the skin was tough and not pleasant to eat. I couldn't cut it with my chopsticks, I had to pick it up and bite into. The good grilled Unagi should have nicely grilled, charred skin with soft meat. Rice underneath was very good so I could finish the dish.
Miso soup lacked the Umami punch, it was more like diluted soup. Sansai was presented beautifully, but I wish they pay more attention to the taste, not too much on the look. Weird egg cake, not my favorite texture.
