Here is another gem in Marion County. Small soul food dinner on Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala FL. Tastes like Granny's cooking. My favorite is the homemade Banana Pudding ?. The best I had in the state of Florida. Corn bread is perfect too. Loved the catfish fillets. Just everything tastes good. I suggest take out and call your order ahead of time. Man the food was delicious! Fried chicken was crispy and juicy! Lima beans seasoned well with pork bits, too! Real southern cooking! Must try!

Such nice people! Was surprised at the cost because I saw the one and only menu photo that said it was $12 for lunch. It was $16 plus tax and tip. But still a great deal, as I be meal is PLENTY for two people. I tried to add a menu photo showing the Tuesday lunch offering. Will be back for sure!

This is food is soooooo good!!! The staff is real nice and friendly too. Did I mention how delicous the food tastes? It's perfectly seasoned. Everything is at the right temperature for you to enjoy it immediately without burning your tongue.

The mashed potatoes is the perfect consistency to melt in your mouth as it integrates with the subtlety seasoned gravy. The cornbread tastes like my Grandma made it! And it's real cheese binding the macaroni together. 10/10 definitely recommend❣️

I got myself the 2pc chicken fried steak with baked beans and mashed potatoes w/ gravy. The environment was cozy, the service was friendly, and the food is amazing. Chicken fried steak was juicy, breaded nicely, and great flavor. Baked beans were good. Mashed potatoes were also very good, not salty at all and the gravy it came with was perfect along with it. Large portions and amazing food at a fair price.

My husband found this hidden gem and had been wanting some good southern home cooking and wanted to check it out. All I can say is WOW! I had the country fried steak with mashed pot. An gravy with Mac-n-chz and my God.. my husband had the fried pork chop with green beans (and bacon mixed in) with fried okra and a side roll.. It was sooooo good! To top it all off tho I my husband saw they had a lil fridge in the dinning area and inside were all the desserts and they have the best banana pudding! They use a cookie instead of the nilla pieces that most places use and they have it on point.. many other things to choose from as well! The staff/family that helped us while we were there were super friendly and welcoming and it made that southern "home" cooking feel and taste that much better! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon!

We haven't had this level of good home cooking in a restaurant in eons!
The fried catfish is SO awesome! Fried pork ribs anyone? Go for it!
The slaw, baked beans, macNcheese and the fried okra.... All incredible.
The sweet tea is sweet and fresh.
The folks there are warm, friendly, comforting and laughing...this is a very good vibing place!!
Two words- HEAVENLY and AMAZING!!!
GO!!!!!

Come hungry.... absolutely the best
Fried chicken and porkchops I've ever eaten. Will definitely come back here again.
