What a little gem in the middle of Palencia! The hotel is nice and the prices are fair, rooms are bright and clean. But the real star is the food, we literally had the best breakfast of our lives. All the produce was local and top notch, the croissant was home made and better than anything I had in Paris!

We also had dinner, it was unreal. Really recommend it.

A group of us stayed here for a night and loved the quiet and seclusion. The layout was unique with a big hallway and rooms on either side--like a big ranch house. My room was pretty, comfortable and clean. The restaurant is delicious. If I am in the area again, I will definitely stay here. And be sure to get their home made ice cream.

Passing through and this place was recommended because the other couple we are traveling with are foodies. The place is motel like...all rooms on one level. Odd, eclectic, retro décor in the common areas. Not many rooms....maybe a dozen. The rooms are clean but nothing special. No air...a fan in our room. Might be hot in the summer. ||||We were told that this is a 'destination' for locals because of the restaurant which is run by three sisters. We will admit the attached restaurant and the food were great! Two of us had lamb, another Pulpo and my husband had a steak. various starters were excellent as well. The presentation was superb. They set a beautiful table...lovely linens and table setting. The sisters (the two we met) were friendly. They spoke little English. We got by with our poor Spanish and they were gracious about it...

The hotel reminded me of some of the 1950's Scandinavian hotels in a time warp. Make no mistake, the rooms are well appointed with excellent bathrooms. There were only a handful hotel guests and the little village seemed deserted. I found a few photo opportunities and a group of walking locals. The small cafe was closed. BUT the food was amazing. The six course meal was one of the best in Spain (was I particularly hungry or was this unexpected in the location?) The set menu was more or less the same as reviewed elsewhere. Tomatoes, jamon, fish with asparagus etc. Ingredients were obviously fresh and local and of the highest possible quality, exquisitely prepared and presented. Service was awkward - a language barrier but not a problem.

We stayed here with another couple while walking selected sections of the Camino de Santiago de Compostella. Spacious , open style public rooms with plenty of natural light . Each room had its one balcony which overlooked a generous green area before the local road. The rooms were adequate - but although it was very hot the air conditioning had been switched off on 1st October as is the norm. So we had a to open the doors and our up with the occasional mouse of traffic and dogs. The Senora made magnificently strong Gin and Tonics , but gave little else away professing to speak Lo English at all. Dinner was not until 8.30 pm - but one of her cooks spoke excellent English ( he had worked in the U.K.) and although we had a Set Menu it was very tasty and well received. The Gazpacho was particularly good! A relaxing break from our daily walks . Recommend to all those walking the Camino.

We stayed here as part of our tour. We were served a five course dinner which included a chilled tomato soup, jamon, croquettes and hake which was beautifully prepared. Wonderful dessert queso helado. Everything was well prepared and served I a beautiful setting.

We were booked into this 50s style motel (one floor - one long hallway with a half dozen or so rooms on either side) off the main route of our "mini" Camino de Santiago (8 days) because the tour operator sought out places beyond the basic hostels that populate the main Camino and they have an attached restaurant that receives local acclaim (reviewed separately). The rooms were basic and clean; no complaints but nothing special. Interior decor is sort of a funky fifties style. Breakfast and dinner were included with our stay and I doubt there are many dinner options in the neighborhood.
