El Sancho is outstanding. They're a creative approach to BBQ breakfast tacos and sandwiches that you just won't find anywhere else. The tacos are generously stuffed and well thought out and unique flavor combinations. The sandwiches are served on biscuits homemade at the local bakery next door. What's really impressive is that the BBQ: brisket, pulled pork, pork belly, is top notch and can stand alone with some of the best in the state. El Sancho receives extra points for being set up behind Jitterz Coffee, serving up some of the best locally roasted coffee in the state and easily the best in the RGV.

I came with my husband on a Sunday morning and the food was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the skill and dedication of the chefs. This place is THE BEST. I love their food and their staff is awesome. I can attest to the fact that everything that I’ve tried from this place is pretty incredible and I have no doubts about the few items on their menu that I haven’t tied yet.
It also serves as a huge bonus that it is directly behind one of my favorite local coffee shops, Jitterz, which is also fantastic.

The food at El Sancho evokes the classic flavors of fine traditional Mexican cooking. We savored the freshness of the herbs, the crispness of the vegetables, and the juiciness of the meats. The carnitas taco is truly delightful with colorful flavors. Have you tried the brisket breakfast plate? If not, it’s a must try. Papa à la Mexicana has a thicker texture that is truly unique.

Delicious breakfast!

This place has high quality meat and high quality cookers too.

I do believe this place is worthy of trying and worthy of coming back. I’ve read the reviews and a lot of people call it “the best brisket in the valley” I would say they are not wrong. Well paired with other foods. though it comes at a price.

The pork belly taco, literally one, goes for 7ish dollars. But I love it…Mouthwatering. But expensive.

They also have more than brisket and I believe the chilaquiles and the pork belly are the ones to not miss.

The chilaquiles can come with brisket. They were crispy and well portioned

I do recommend going to this place at least once but I’m sure you’ll be back eventually ?

‼️Sadly, they used the worst type of to go food plates… styrofoam. Baaaad! I posted pictures of all the trash you’ll leave behind and from ordering here. I hope they make a change for good for something compostable.

Seriously the best brisket in the whole valley! I love coming for breakfast tacos when I feel I deserve it after the gym. My favorite is the Pirata (beans, cheese, brisket, egg and a slice of bacon on a flour tortilla.) It's delicious! And don't forget to try the gorditas when they have them available. The price may seem a little steep but the servings are very generous and in my opinion worth it. Service is great and friendly!

The chilaquiles bowl is delicious! Brisket is fantastic. Usually I’m a firm believer that chips aren’t chilaquiles but the refried beans, tomatillo sauce are the perfect combo with the chips. The avocado and pickled onions pair perfectly with the brisket and tomatillos sauce to balance out the flavor. This food truck is nestled behind jitterz which is the best symbiotic relationship. Ps: the drink in the back is the poolside party tea which is a great combination of refreshing cucumber lemon and rosella tea.
