The food is beautiful and delicious. The prices are fair considering the quality of the dishes. I highly recommend this place. Also, the restaurant is beautiful and the servers are so kind and welcoming.

Fabulous birthday dinner! The service was impeccable. Fresh bread, filled water glasses, no empty plates kept on the table too long, and fast but didn't feel rushed service. I also appreciated how well all the waitstaff helped each other out.

The food was fabulous. For starters, I opted do the beef tartar while my partner had the salmon rillettes. Both were excellent. For dinner, I had the crispy pork with spatzle and my parter had the duck confit. The pork was crispy, thing, and I loved the fresh Brussels sprouts salad served on top. A hearty homey dish that works well for summer. The duck was perfectly cooked and I love how it paired with the rice and turnips.

For dessert my partner for the financier cake and I tried the special they were testing that evening. I'm not sure of the exact name but it had apples and Brandy maple sauce and it was spectacular. The financier was deliciously sweet and the strawberries were fresh and flavorful.

All in all a fabulous local restaurant that had great service and food.

Best duck I've ever had! My wife has the Croque Madam, which was amazing too. The service was impressive. They brought my wife a hook to hang her purse from the table and keep it off the floor.

Place looks and tastes amazing. All the staff were incredibly friendly and seem like they really enjoy working there. The Frites were the best thing I had, perfectly crunchy and seasoned to perfection.

This is a perfect place for Sunday brunch (any day really). My family and I tried so many dishes, my favorite was the omelette. Incredible how the eggs tasted. I would go back, without thinking about it. The service was fantastic, really good people.

My partner and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Bluebird and were absolutely delighted by quality of the food, the ambience, and the level of service.

The menu is relatively small and changes with the season, which is an indicator of a passionate culinary team that takes fresh food seriously. This is further reinforced by the open-concept kitchen which you can look into while seated indoors. It is both interesting and reassuring to watch the team behind the food at work preparing your meal.

While all of the food was excellent, my entrée of the slow-cooked beef cheeks in a red wine sauce was the star of the show. The dish was decadent and savory with some of the tenderest meat I have ever eaten, accompanied by a french style gnocchi and the most beautifully roasted slices of summery vegetables. My partner's almond trout with green beans was spectacular as well!

As an additional surprise, our server brought us out a pair of *complimentary* house-made powdered shortbread cookies in celebration of our anniversary -- a very nice touch.

Overall, Bluebird is an absolute gem of chapel hill -- it's elegant without seeming pretentious, and the price point is very fair for the quality of the dining experience. We definitely plan to return.
