The food is great, I've always enjoyed it. The only problem is with the staff serving vegetarians in a family group. They never identify the vegetarians in a family group but this does not happen in a friends group. There is a bit of an apathy here. As soon as the food arrives, the staff quickly distribute all of the vegetarian food to every family member in the group. It becomes impolite to stop them, especially if you are with extended family. Finally the vegetarians are left with very little food to eat. The management needs to educate staff on how to discreetly identify vegetarians and direct most of the veg food to them. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

My dining experience at one of Mangalore's premier restaurants was exceptional. The ample parking and refined ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for families. All aspects of the experience were outstanding. I strongly advise securing a reservation in advance, especially for weekend visits.

Yesterday we visited the Madhuvan's Village restaurant.it is a nice place to dine out with friends and family, Food is great and the service is at its best. Initially we ordered few starters like star fish rawa fry( Bolanjir in local language) was just superb and mangalore dish Chicken ghee roast it was soo nice tasty but only 6 pieces in a dish, and my wife ordered her best Paneer Tikka was signature one soft . We tried brocoli dry it was excellant little spicy one & refreshing. We had apetiser soup earlier & enjoyed Tandoori Chicken too.. For main course I got Chicken biryani ,Nans with some veg esquisit curry. The waiter was polite so no problem with service. great food and starters. Theere is a bar. Big restaurant which can accomodate more than 500 diners at a time. Very nice ambiance surrounded by garden equipped with beautiful lights ,chandaeliers. Lot of parking available insde restaurant area. All round satisfied Thank you for excellent service and yummy great food. We will visit again.

As bangaloreans, we thought all food was exceptional but could have been improved with a bit of spice. The ambience of the place is extraordinary, we loved the place, it was a pleasant surprise as we didn't expect such a beautiful place looking from outside the restaurant. We enjoyed the ambience more than the food. Highly recommend visiting the place!

Coming back here after 10 years and This place has become some kind of super power. It's packed on weekends and the parking needs a golf kart to ferry people to the entrance. This is insane. Convenient, but insane (majorly because of how it has grown).
1. The service is still amazing. Everyone just wants to help you.
2. The prices are a little on the higher end. But then again, it's a fancy shmancy place. And Mangalore is becoming more expensive in general.
3. It is (one of) the best place for taking a family for lunch or dinner.

The food is without a doubt some of the best you will eat in your life. Hands down. The sea food will always be amazing. The masala fry to the rava fry. The ghee roast. The prawns, the fish the ... Ugh.. everything! And even the biryani is just simply amazing. I have come here with vegetarians and they were not disappointed either. Village is one of those places I recommend to people who visit Mangalore and no one has ever been unsatisfied.

Just want to add, they let me cut my birthday cake inside. A lot of places frown upon that act (which I think is stupid) but these guys were ok with it. Because they just want you to have a good time.
I will never stop coming here.
