The first time my husband and I had dinner at this restaurant, I ordered tomato fried chicken and fishball rice noodles with lemon tea, while he ordered satay chicken steak rice with milk tea, and butter chicken wings. I found the tomato fried chicken steak fishball rice noodles to be excellent. The tomato soup base was rich and flavorful, with a slight spicy kick, and the addition of chicken steak made it very appetizing. However, the satay chicken steak rice was disappointing. The chicken steak lacked taste and was very dry. Although the satay sauce was fragrant, it couldn't save the overall flavor of the dish. On the other hand, the butter chicken wings were delicious. They had a crispy texture and a fragrant buttery flavor.

Regarding the drinks, the iced milk tea and iced lemon tea didn't capture the authentic taste of Hong Kong-style beverages and felt inferior in comparison. The restaurant's environment was clean, and the seats were spacious and comfortable. The menu was lovely and detailed. Keep up the good work!

The food is average . But their service is extremely good. I tried the 5 ingredient pick and choose . So had a stir fried noodles with chicken. It tasted decent. But definitely doubt if it was worth 10 pounds. It’s a cute little place . Can improve on food.

Update: dropped down to 4 stars. At least three times recently I've come to visit and it's been closed, when the opening times say they should be open, and no updates are posted on social media. Quite frustrating when you make plans, and the business seems to pick and choose when they open.

Great place to get a HK cafe experience.

The menu has a good selection of HK brunch dishes, street food and drinks, as well as a specials menu inside. The curry fish balls, radish cake and cheung fan were fantastic, and were decently priced.

The positive experience was more than just about the food though. There is a warm and friendly vibe to this place, which you can see when you look at their handmade menus inside, which are filled with fun doodles and useful tips to help you decide (particularly helpful if you're not familiar with the dishes). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There is also a small selection of board games inside, which is a nice touch.

One thing I wasn't impressed with was the amount of waste though; all food and drink were all served in disposable containers, and there was no recycling bins at the self-serve cleaning station.

One of my favourite places to visit for food in Newcastle. Food is always fabulous, the staff/owners are absolutely lovely, friendly and hard-working, and I love the general vibe of the place - you can even play boardgames while waiting for your order! A great place to chill and sample Hong Kong-style street food ?

Really tasty authentic flavours from Hong Kong

The menu is amazing, a booklet of hand written, annotated and illustrated delights. I checked 2 menus and the were definitely slightly different looking so were handmade. This gave a very homely authentic feel to the menu and must have been a LOT of work.

Some of the items near the start of the menu seemed expensive but if you make it to the end there is some gems to be found at a slightly cheaper price.

I had the chicken in a rich soup and also breadcrumbed chicken breast with cheese and dressing. Honestly it was delicious and I can't recommend enough.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and they gad little games so we played connect 4.

Go for a visit it's a lovely place I will be returning soon

The staffs and atmosphere of the place are nice, but the foods, particularly the Chang Fen tastes quite bland and I think my wings were a bit burnt.

A nice homey hong kong street food restaurant
I had some crispy fried chicken and the curry fishballs. The fried chicken was good but the curry fishballs were slightly disappointing, especially for the price. Overall I think the quality of the food is good but it is quite expensive for the amount of food you get

The store is quaint, the staff are friendly and there are board games put up that presumably you can play while you wait for your food?

The issue I have with this place is that it's rarely open. I pass by it 5 times a week and its maybe open once

Quick service, chill environment (perfect to get some drawing done). Absolutely stunning food, i had the pancakes and cheesy fried chicken and the flavours were outstanding. The honey lemon tea was a perfect drink to go with it.

All reasonably came to around £15 which is good for street food lunch.

Will go again and highly recommend it.
