Great atmosphere, decor and dining furnishings. Hot rods and historical pics from the area in the fifties. Came in for early lunch and had no issue with table. Food came out at a reasonable time for being made to order.
Plenty of food options. We tried the phillies, burgers and fried shrimp. Fried okra was fresh and crispy, French fries were fresh and nicely seasoned and cold macaroni salad was straight from grandmas cookbook. Fried Oreos and the flavor infused soft serve was a hit with the family.
Service was top notch.
As others noted parties of 5 or more a tip is automatically included (sign on hostess stand) and as with other local restaurants, the fee for credit card use is passed along to the customer. Spent about $30 pp.
parking is easy to find, but quite pricey $20 for 2 hours for the lot behind the restaurant.

Great, Great Food! Everything we ate was amazing and cooked fresh to order. Our waitress was super nice! Was a small wait for food to come out, but it was worth the wait. Highly recommend stopping by and checking out POPS DINNER!!

Very nice and food is good place is nicely decorated very dinner esque food is on the pricier side and can definitely add up but other wise food is pretty good. The chicken could be seasoned a little more otherwise perfect.There other restaurant, Puff’s Magic dragon hibachi spot is also pretty good make sure to check that out there food was very good.

This was one of the rare experiences where I saw something on the menu, and it was even better than I had imagined it! Shoutout to the fry dip - beef, cheese, and french fries on a brioche bun dipped in aus jous (spelling?), pairs well with the sweet tea.

And the staff was wonderful - very attentive and patient with our two toddlers who are always up to mischief. We will definitely be back if we make a return trip to Carolina Beach!

I was pleasantly surprised with the attentive service and delicious seafood at Pop’s Diner. Step inside and you’re in a vintage Happy Days episode. Emily was on point as was the lightly seasoned grilled shrimp and hand-battered fish sticks. It’s easy to drive past this Carolina Beach gem so be sure to include Pop’s Diner on your must-visit list while at the beach.

Wasn’t many options available to eat while staying over night, but so glad we came upon this place. Everything was fresh and so amazing. Never had deep fried corn on the cob and i wanted more. Tots were perfectly crunchy, best hush puppies and I’m picky. Mom had the blt & said it was amazing & I had the veggie burger, yum!!! The music, decor, atmosphere, & waitress was wonderful. Highly recommend. We ever return to the area we will definitely stop again. ♥️
