No fue tan burno por que demasiado se tardan en llegar con la comida , pero si felicito a la persona que nos estuvo atendiendo en la mesa, Ella es muy amable y pendiente de lo que necesitaramos!

Was passing through and wanted catfish. This place popped up on the maps.

It's in the back of a BP station and the sign is not very big. Google maps kept saying to take a U turn, But really we just needed to cut across the 4 lane. It sneaks up on you.

We came kinda late. 45 minutes before closing. But no problems. We sat ourselves but the server was right there with menus. Very helpful and pleasant.

We order the fried pickles and Cajun catfish dinner. No turnip greens, so I ordered the green beans and macaroni and cheese. R got fried okra and fries.

Dinner came out before the pickles. I guess they forgot. But when they did come out the pickles were HOT and fresh and have a very delicious flavor. Chips not spears the way we like it.

The fish was delicious. I was skeptical at first because it looked dark but we ordered the Cajun.. so while it looked dark it was not burnt and it did not taste like old oil. The pickles were golden so I think it's just the batter. And it was HOT temperature, and tasty. We highly recommend.

The fries were not as hot as the fish and could have been cooked a little longer. R said the okra was ok. Average.

The green beans and mac and cheese both were ok. I think they both needed a little bit more flavor. Not bad, but I've had better. Was wishing I would have gone with coleslaw.

All in all it was a good visit. We do recommend the catfish.

It's worth the visit.

I am ready to go back. First time there. Ordered chicken livers, enough for 3 people, so good. Corn nuggets were yummy! Mom and pop place, little slow but freshly cooked food.

This is the Pop’s special omelet (eggs stuffed with sausage and hash browns) and biscuits smothered with gravy. They’re proud of their gravy here; it’s great — tastes like a gumbo roux!
Pop’s restaurant in Kingsport, Tennessee. There was a line at the door before its 7 am opening time.

Fantastic home-style breakfast. The staff were all friendly & worked as a team to make sure everyone was well taken care of. We enjoyed the pancakes & Pop's omlette. Both were generously-sized & delicious. Obviously everything was homemade & prepared with pride. Pop's is exactly what a diner should be.

Food was absolutely astounding, servers were great however the prices are insane. For three of us with Normal entrees and one side of green tomatoes our bill was 100$ plus. I don’t understand the point of charging so much. I love supporting local businesses but this cost is exactly what will be the death of their consumer base.

Good restaurant for country cooking. Fried green tomatoes were excellent! My only complaint is that their fried squash is from frozen, not fresh. I would like to see more vegetable side dishes that were not the same as every other restaurant to set them apart.
