The food here was exceptional. Special shout out to the goat croquettes and the pork belly. Honestly insane. Can’t wait to go back! The staff were so friendly and even gave us intel on how the food was prepared! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

The food! Wow, it was such a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef!!! I went here with my cousin and we tried a variety of appetizers as we were hungry and ordered 1 main and 2 deserts. The service was slow at the beginning but that seemed to be due to there only being 1 server who also was the bartender and host. He was really chill and nice and helped us pick out great appetizers. That’s my only call out that they should have more staff on hand. It is quite a small space where you sit to eat but there are also seats at the bar if you just want drinks. The food was fantastic and the Sauvignon blanc was great. I would definitely visit here again, solely for the food and they also accommodated my dairy restriction, which I was very happy about.

I had a lovely solo dinner to mark my last night in London. Lee was a really attentive server and just an overall nice guy. I am West Indian so I always approach Caribbean restaurants with apprehension, but the flavours (and the rum) of this place stood up to my expectations. My only regret is that I haven't been able to try them for brunch - something I will rectify during my next trip!

Wow, this food. Every single plate was so well crafted with delicious food clearly created with passion and masterful technique. Seriously delicious and if you don’t try the rum cocktails you are missing out. Fantastic night. Also, Jerk Butter should be prescribed to make anyone feel good.

Food, ambience and service is 10/10!
I’ve been to this place a couple of times now and it hasn’t disappointed yet.

The first time was for a solo lunch date on a Sunday afternoon and the vibes hit just right. I received a warm and friendly welcome, quick service and delicious food. I was allowed to relax with my drink and work away on my laptop as the waiter was closing down and wasn’t felt rushed at all. The music was so good I was happy to jam there as long as possible.

The second time was with a friend and although the music was just a tad too loud, the food, the portions and the service was still great. After eating we lounged on the sofa for hours talking before eventually leaving. We didn’t feel pressured to keep spending money in order to stay and I will be definitely coming back to sample more of the menu ?

The food is simply incredible. We took 5 small dishes and all of them were high quality and super delicious. Nice relaxed atmosphere and great service make you feel very welcome in this place. Should you be around Brixton, don't miss it!

We had family in town and decided to try Wood and Water on a whim. Food was incredible. Interesting flavours and great play on textures. Love the small plates too for sharing. Top plates were the pork belly and the oxtail but honestly was all fantastic. Even the bread and jerk butter!

It’s one of those local treasures that is something truly special. Will definitely be going back.

We discovered this beautiful restaurant on Instagram through its proprietor @apriljjackson. Aprils passion for all things Jamaican inspired us to make the trip from Liverpool to sample some proper Jamaican food.
The meal massively surpassed our expectations and it would be fair to say that it’s one of the best meals and best nights out that we’ve ever had. The prawns were certainly the star of the show ?
Wood and water had such a friendly vibe, the staff were so welcoming and we even ended up chatting to the other customers about what their own experiences.
As a foodie, it’s always nice to find something new and delicious…. And wood and water certainly provided that!
My favourite thing about the whole meal was paying the bill and finding out that a donation was being made to the local food bank with every cover. People who love food love life… and people who love life love each other!
