Food was good, I had the catfish po boy with red beans and rice, bread toasted just right, all the condiments were fresh and the fish was fried hard. Definitely enjoyed the Po Boy Amber, it was nice with that sand which, the only thing I can say against the meal was the oil may have been old because the fish had a sour taste to it, and the red beans and rice had good texture and flavor but also had a sour taste, not sure of they use veggie stock to make their beans but it tasted like there was either too much broth or stock. Overall it’s a nice place to sit inside or outside and eat, reasonable prices for the portions given as well

Very friendly staff, clean inside and incredible food. My wife and I have passed by more times than I can count and on a whim we decided to give it a try - I’m glad we did. Definitely recommend it and will absolutely be back.

Great place to get shrimp Poboy around town. Very friendly service outdoor indoor seating fast and tasted amazing. I would come back!

Great local-owned spot in a convenient location! Large menu –not so vast it's overwhelming, yet still has all the staples you'd expect at a restaurant with "roux" in the name. I had the Hot Ham + Cheese Po-Boy with cole slaw, and if I lived closer I could've come back for the same sandwich for lunch every day of the week and it still be just as delicious as the first time. They also carry lots of beers from local breweries Urban South and Southern Prohibition. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was cute! Definitely plan to return!

Art of Roux is one of the best places in town! Their fried seafood is some of the best that you'll find in this entire area. The Poboys are amazing! The fries along with their fancy sauce is an addiction waiting to happen! The red beans and rice are to die for. It is consistently good as the excellent quality is always the same. Dillan knows his seasonings! Everything is seasoned to perfection! There's nothing that they make that won't be excellent.

Small place but this is the best in Hattiesburg. Perfect Poboys and Gumbo. Service is great. We were in Hattiesburg for 3 days, after eating at Art of Roux, we came back the second time and if in Hattiesburg again, will definitely eat here again. Don't skip this place, it's worth stopping and eating a wonderful Poboy and Gumbo.

Wow! I had no idea this place was here. I went to visit my sons at USM and they suggested this place. They are conveniently located a few minutes from campus, and the red beans and rice was delicious! Even the gumbo was good. I generally prefer a seafood gumbo, but I was surprised how good the chicken and sausage gumbo was. Highly recommend the red beans and rice.
