The best pizza I've had in kyoto, really. Better than most of the places I've been to in NY. The environment is very welcoming and fun. There's a great sense of familiarity and nostalgia, like hanging out with old friends.

I highly recommend!

ほんまに、京都で食べた中で一番のピザやわ。ニューヨークで行った大半の店より美味いで。雰囲気もめっちゃ居心地よくて楽しいわ。なんか昔からの友達と一緒におるみたいな懐かしさと親しみがあんねん。

Even though we came in quite early in the evening, and there wasn't much going on. The place certainly has a nice vibe, some good music playing and an awesome atmosphere.
And of course, the pizza was delicious as well.

The owner seems like a very chill person as well, don't hesitate to stop by.

It’s a half bar/half pizza shop/half live house so the atmosphere is obvious enough… If you don’t mind some smoke, great conversation, and better pizza, come in for an amazing time. If any of those bother you, consider staying away. Other than that, 10/10 my favorite shop I’ve found since moving here so far. (Also probably the best NYC style pizza I’ve found in not just Kyoto, but Japan)

I’ve tried a couple New York slice places in Tokyo and always walked away disappointed. But this is by far the best I’ve had. Too bad it’s all the way in Kyoto.

The pizzas are crisp and delicious, with plenty of sauces to add. Was disappointed that we couldn’t order any of the sides on a weekday night. But will still definitely visit again.

Was in Kyoto for a show at Pop! Pizza , this was my first time here. Hands down had seriously one of the best times I ever had in Japan here. Dan the owner such an awesome guy, love the vibe and feel about this place, when I say a dive place I mean that in the absolutely best compliment I can give.
He was pouring me some amazingly awesome stiff drinks that you almost never get here in Japan, I'm originally from Wisconsin so I'm used to strong big drinks so this was like I was transported back home for a night, it had that feel to me.
Plus it's a live house and the punk vibe there is great too, small place but gives it that extra charm during a show.
After the show pizza's were being brought out, had a couple slices and the pizza was top notch too, especially while having drinks.
You know maybe this place isn't for everyone, but if you like places like this or are missing places like this you used to frequent back home, then this place will be right up your alley 100%
Those who come here and write negative reviews, you could have clearly read the room and just simply turned around and walked out. The second you walk through the door you pretty much know what you are getting yourself into here. For me that feeling I got after walking through the door was one of "oh yeah I'm going to really like this place"
I live in Gifu-shi, but whenever I can get back to Kyoto I will always try to make it here if I can, I'm sure there will be other shows I will eventually need to come here to see as well haha
